Ever since I realized that we were probably not going to get back together again, I've had a couple of photographs of her, taken by her, standing on the floor next to my desk.

Till then they had been prominently displayed on my wall for about a year or so - but when the break-up happened, I very quickly discovered that looking at photos of her every time I sat down in front of my computer (read: constantly) was probably not healthy.

Especially because one of them was a (tasteful) nude that I had helped set up when we visited her grandparents down by the Mexican border.

So down on the floor they went.

Today I finally removed the photos and hung the empty frames back up on the wall. It seemed fitting considering all the things that are happening in my life right now. And ... you never know ... perhaps one day the frames will be filled once more.
